SWK Technologies is committed to providing superior technical support to clients both remotely and on-site. The On-Site Engineer serves as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support, maintaining workplace technology, supporting Microsoft 365 environments, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring reliable network and infrastructure operations. This role combines hands-on technical support, systems administration, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide walk-up, phone, and ticket-based technical support to end users.
- →Deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, peripherals, printers, and other IT equipment.
- →Manage hardware lifecycle activities, including new hire setup, repairs, upgrades, and equipment returns.
- →Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including user accounts, licensing, access management, and security-related requests.
- →Troubleshoot application, device, and connectivity issues, escalating complex problems when needed.
- →Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, wireless access points, and basic firewall configurations.
- →Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset records, and system configurations.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience troubleshooting Windows hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, connectivity troubleshooting, and basic firewall management.
- Hands-on experience installing, repairing, and upgrading computer hardware.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID user, license, and access administration.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Microsoft AZ-900, or equivalent.
- Experience deploying and supporting Azure resources.
- Familiarity with Parallels RAS, Citrix, or other virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
- Experience working within a team-based IT support environment using a ticketing system i.e. Halo PSA
