The Right Profile
Our Investment team is responsible for designing, managing and continuously improving Syfe’s managed portfolios. This includes portfolio construction, manager selection, performance monitoring and investment research, as well as developing scalable investment tools and insights for clients. We are looking for a Senior Investment Associate to help expand the team’s portfolio capabilities and support the continued growth of Syfe’s investment platform.

This role will work closely with portfolio management, product and regional teams to ensure Syfe’s portfolios are robust, scalable and well governed across markets.

Responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring and Implementation

Monitor the performance, risk exposures and positioning of Syfe’s managed portfolios across asset classes and regions
Support the execution of daily portfolio trading and rebalance activities across Syfe portfolios
Monitor trade implementation, identify execution issues and help ensure robust and scalable trading processes

Quantitative and Investment Research

Conduct quantitative and investment research to support portfolio construction, asset allocation and product enhancements
Analyse portfolio characteristics such as factor exposures, diversification and risk drivers to inform investment decisions

Cross Regional Portfolio Coordination

Support the implementation and ongoing management of portfolios across multiple geographies including Hong Kong and Australia
Act as a key liaison for cross regional portfolio monitoring, trading coordination and portfolio changes

Manager Due Diligence and Investment Research

Conduct due diligence on ETFs, funds and other investment vehicles used within Syfe portfolios
Monitor managers and holdings for performance, risk and structural developments, and evaluate potential additions or replacements

Investment Process and Tooling

Help develop and improve investment tools, portfolio analytics and internal workflows used to manage portfolios at scale
Strengthen investment governance and operational robustness as the investment platform continues to grow

Minimum Qualifications

4-7 years of experience in asset management, wealth management, or portfolio strategy
Strong understanding of portfolio construction and asset allocation
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate investment insights into clear conclusions
High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset
Basic Python proficiency required, particularly for working with data and portfolio analytics
Experience applying AI tools within investment workflows and operations, including the ability to experiment with and help deploy AI enabled solutions at scale
