The Senior Procurement Specialist – Construction enables the commercial execution of construction contracts across T5 projects by translating site-defined scope and vendor selections into structured, enforceable agreements aligned to cost, schedule, and risk objectives.

This role partners closely with Construction and Preconstruction teams to convert project requirements into clear contractual frameworks, ensuring commercial terms, pricing structures, and risk allocation are well-defined and executable.

Operating within a decentralized delivery model, site teams retain ownership of vendor sourcing and selection, while this role brings consistency, clarity, and discipline to the commercial and contractual components of those engagements.

In addition to hands-on contract execution, this position strengthens site capability by providing real-time guidance, coaching, and practical support to improve scope definition, vendor comparison, and overall commercial decision-making.

  • Translate awarded scopes and vendor selections into executable contracts, including scope definition, commercial terms, and contract structure
  • Lead contract negotiations to align pricing structures, risk allocation, and commercial frameworks with project requirements
  • Evaluate vendor proposals from a commercial perspective, identifying gaps in scope, pricing inconsistencies, and potential risk exposure
  • Structure agreements with clear inclusions, exclusions, cost drivers, and financial terms to support accurate project execution
  • Partner with Construction and Preconstruction teams to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and contractually aligned
  • Coordinate with Legal, Risk, and internal stakeholders to resolve commercial and contractual considerations
  • Prepare and route agreements through internal approval workflows to support timely execution
  • Provide real-time commercial guidance to site teams during vendor engagement and proposal review
  • Coach site leads on scope clarity, vendor comparison, and commercial best practices to improve decision quality
  • Promote consistent use of templates, playbooks, and standardized contracting approaches to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, including cost structure optimization and contracting efficiency
  • Support end-to-end contract execution activities, ensuring alignment with internal systems and documentation standards
  • 8+ years of experience in construction procurement, preconstruction, or commercial contracting
  • Strong understanding of construction cost structures, contract frameworks, and risk allocation principles
  • Proven experience negotiating complex commercial agreements in a project-based environment
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, Risk, Construction, and Operations teams
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and guide stakeholders without direct authority
