Technica is a product-oriented company, that continuously reinvest to stay ahead of the curve, and our interdisciplinary team composed by hardware and software experts is focused on the development of company own products roadmap and on innovative R&D electronics development projects with major customers.

We’re looking for someone with a strong background in one or more of the key areas of electronics development, who can understand complex electronic architectures and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment.

You should be comfortable challenging existing trends, going beyond the scope of the current role if needed, and applying your experience in new ways.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Take full responsibility for one or several products in company hardware products portfolio, owning the product end-to-end through its development lifecycle.

• Explore market, customer and technology needs to identify new product opportunities and improvements to the existing portfolio.

• Define initial product concepts with commercial, technical and operations teams, aligning them with customer needs.

• Build product development plans with key milestones, coordinate product scope, define engineering resources needed and budgets to achieve development success.

• Lead cross-functional teams through the development of the electronic products, coordinating hardware, firmware, mechanical, manufacturing and other technical areas.

• Support technical reviews, prototype testing and product validation to ensure performance, quality and compliance with applicable targeted product requirements.

• Support product launch by aligning available technical documentation to sales and customer-facing field support teams.

• Take responsibility for product evolution after launch, coordinating improvements, cost optimization activities, quality issues and in general product lifecycle decisions.

• Prioritize product features and specific requirements, negotiating them with different stakeholders with the focus on adding the most value to the product.

• Participate also in horizontal development activities, potentially owning parts of the product architecture depending on engineering background.

• Facilitate meetings among teams and external collaborators.

• Report progress and issues clearly to internal teams, partners and early adopter customers interested in receiving representative product prototype samples.

SKILLS

• Technical project management/lead experience in automotive, telecom or software development industry. Automotive is desired but not a must.

• Strong engineering background, ideally in any of the fundamental areas of electronics products development like hardware or software development.

• Quick learner with ability to grasp complex tech concepts without the need to go deep in technical detail to take smart decisions and drive the team’s progress.

• Strong analytical and investigation skills for early-stage tech research projects.

• Solid knowledge of agile methodologies.

• Proficient in supporting tools for agile methodologies like JIRA, Confluence or Trello.

• Desirable previous experience on development roles before moving to project technical leadership.

• Desirable experience in start-up or scaling growth environments.

• Collaborative and patient, able to build strong cross-functional relationships.

• Skilled in managing partnerships and business relationships.

• Able to prioritize and multitask under pressure in an autonomous way.

• Highly detail-oriented person with a passion for being proactive in finding solutions.

• Trustworthy with a strong work ethic and care for confidentiality.

• Fluency in local languages and working fluency in English is a must, basic German is nice to have but not required.
