Screen Printer II

Prints lettering and designs with screen printing device on formed or machined configuration mostly of plastic materials. Set up screen fixture to repeat during a production run.  The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics. 

• →Operate basic screen print table 
• →Cleans screen with solvent at end of run and when using different colors.  
• →Examines printed object for defects. 
• →Teaches and instructs junior members of department on best practices 
• →Capable of setting up and screen printing both metal and plastic product (in the flat or bent form) 
• →Understands how screen print defects are created in the process and how to turn them on/off ; for example, stray ink, faded image, bold image  
• →Examines printed object for defects. 
• →All other duties assigned. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be required to stand.  The employee could frequently be required to walk; use hand to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.  The employee could be required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee could occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by the job could include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years as a screen printer I

• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment
• Strong communication skills, fluent in English 
• Basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) 
• Ability to identify cosmetic defects
