As a Procurement Specialist you will be responsible for supporting the procurement of goods and services to meet organizational needs. You will execute core purchasing activities including requisition processing, purchase order creation, and vendor coordination while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
 
You will partner with internal stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and accurate procurement operations. 
  • Review and process purchase requisitions for goods and services
  • Obtain vendor quotes and compare pricing options
  • Create and issue purchase orders (POs)
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Resolve issues related to pricing, delivery, or invoicing
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
  • Maintain vendor files, documentation, and required records
  • Assist with vendor onboarding and documentation collection
  • Coordinate communications with vendors regarding orders and deliveries
  • Support vendor performance tracking
  • Ensure transactions follow company policies and approval processes
  • Verify required documentation (e.g., W-9s, insurance, compliance forms)
  • Assist with audit requests and reporting needs
  • Maintain procurement documentation for compliance purposes
  • Assist with reconciliation of purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
  • Support resolution of payment discrepancies with Accounting
  • Track purchasing activity and basic spend data
  • Generate standard reports
  • Follow established procurement procedures and workflows
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Support adoption of procurement tools and systems
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent in Business or related field
  • 0-3 years experience in procurement, purchasing or administrative support
  • Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Requires effective communication and customer service skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
