TELUS Cattle Professional Services supports cattle producers through integrated veterinary, nutrition, research, and consulting services, operating four clinic locations in Brooks, Lethbridge, Okotoks, and Taber. Our team is passionate about delivering exceptional service and practical solutions that help producers achieve better outcomes.

As our clinics continue to grow and evolve, this Practice Manager role will unify operations and create seamless coordination across the Brooks, Taber and Lethbridge locations. You'll be the operational catalyst that transforms how our clinics function as one integrated practice, standardizing workflows, and fostering cross-clinic communication that supports our veterinarians, consultants, and technicians to focus on delivering exceptional value to cattle producers and developing our people. This is a strategic, visible role: you'll shape how our practice scales and competes in Southern Alberta.

Responsibilities

Oversee Client-Service and Administrative Operations

  • →Coordinate scheduling, communications, and administrative workflow management across locations.
  • →Manage billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and month-end processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • →Communicate with clients as needed to understand and fill their needs and to coordinate clinic resources to meet those needs.
  • →Communicate service scheduling to clients.
  • →Act as the liaison between clinic teams and centralized TELUS support functions.
  • →Solve problems quickly and keep stakeholders aligned.

Drive Operational Consistency

  • →Partner with clinic leaders and staff to standardize administrative workflows across Brooks, Lethbridge, and Taber.
  • →Optimize operational efficiency and implement practical solutions that create repeatable, scalable processes.
  • →Coordinate operational priorities across locations to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • →Manage facility planning, equipment needs, and operational resource allocation.

Support Our People Leaders and Hiring Process

  • →Collaborate with the talent acquisition team to coordinate interviews, manage candidate experience, and ensure smooth onboarding and integration for new clinic staff.
  • →Partner with people managers on training coordination, role clarity, and employee-engagement initiatives.
  • →Support role accountability and remove operational roadblocks for our teams.
  • →Foster a workplace culture where people thrive and feel supported.

Foster Cross-Clinic Integration and Communication

  • →Facilitate regular communication and coordination between clinics.
  • →Support resource allocation and workload balancing across locations.
  • →Coordinate operational meetings, action tracking, and implementation of decisions.
  • →Promote consistency in workflows, policies, onboarding, and best practices.

Champion Continuous Improvement

  • →Develop and maintain operating procedures, documentation, and training resources.
  • →Track operational metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
  • →Support technology and process enhancements that streamline workflows.
  • →Champion initiatives that improve employee experience, client service, and operational efficiency.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations in professional-services management, practice management, office management, veterinary-clinic leadership or healthcare environment.
  • Demonstrated success supporting recruitment, onboarding, and employee-integration processes.
  • Strong organizational and project-coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, you work effectively with veterinarians, technicians, administrative staff, leadership and clients.
  • Strong client communication and relationship-management skills; you can understand client needs, build trust, and coordinate resources to deliver solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset and bias toward action.
  • Ability to drive accountability and follow through on commitments across teams and locations.
  • Experience working in a multi-location or multi-site business environment.
  • Familiarity with operational metrics, process improvement methodologies, and change management.
  • Proven experience in a veterinary, agricultural, or healthcare setting, you understand the unique dynamics of serving cattle producers and working alongside veterinary teams.
  • Comfort working with multiple software platforms and business systems.
  • Experience managing administrative teams or supporting clinical and operational leaders simultaneously.

The Practice Manager will be the operational foundation that unifies our clinics into one integrated high-performing practice. By coordinating operations at the Brooks, Taber and Lethbridge locations and standardizing workflows, you'll free our veterinarians, consultants, and technicians to focus on delivering exceptional value to cattle producers and developing our people. You'll directly enable our growth and competitiveness in Southern Alberta.
