Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

A respected commercial general contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex renovation and occupied-facility projects across healthcare, industrial, corporate office, hospitality, retail, and municipal markets. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile projects, including healthcare developments exceeding $100M, while working within a collaborative, relationship-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee budgets, forecasting, schedules, contracts, change orders, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Lead buyout activities, bid reviews, and support GMP development.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, field teams, and internal departments.
• Mentor project staff and help drive successful project execution.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting future business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of commercial construction experience with at least 5 years as a Project Manager.
• Experience working for a General Contractor.
• Strong background managing renovation and occupied-facility projects.
• Understanding of budgeting, project financials, buyout, and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Healthcare construction and renovation projects.
• Phased renovation work in occupied environments.
• Existing relationships within the Kansas City market.

Compensation & Benefits

• $125,000–$160,000+ base salary
