Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will coordinate and deliver projects through build, integration, testing and deployment. Working across mechanical, electrical, controls and software disciplines, you will take ownership of day-to-day delivery while remaining actively involved in solving technical challenges and supporting practical build activities where required. The role combines project coordination with hands-on engineering. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely and effectively to the required quality, cost and time scales. As your experience develops, you will take ownership of increasingly complex projects and broaden your technical understanding, whilst building commercial and customer-facing capability.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead and participate in build, system integration, testing, validation and commissioning activities.
• Work alongside technicians and engineers during critical phases, acting as an initial technical escalation point and providing practical support and direction
• Translate project objectives into clear tasks, priorities and practical delivery plans, providing realistic estimates and forecasts.
• Undertake appropriate engineering design and modification work, including brackets, fixtures, tooling, cable routing, mounting arrangements and other project specific solutions.

Education, Experience & Knowledge

• A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant
  engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent
  capability developed through industry experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings,
  specifications, bills of materials and technical
  documentation.
