Our The Mechanical Specialist I performs industrial mechanical and basic electrical repairs to production equipment and systems. This role follows all safety and code requirements and works under the direction of maintenance supervision and/or management. Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm.

Our Woodmill is located in McClure, PA. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and support systems.
  • Conduct mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments.
  • Perform work up to—but not including—adjustments or repairs of computerized controls.
  • Set up and operate equipment requiring basic electrical adjustments.
  • Provide personal hand tools not supplied by the department.
  • Accurately account for all working time.
  • Communicate issues to supervisors and team members.
  • Perform duties safely and professionally.
  • Comply with company policies.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and maintain attendance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations and business needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 7–10 years related experience 
  • Advanced mechanical knowledge with basic electrical proficiency.
  • Strong understanding of industrial equipment.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • LOTO Certification.
  • Electrical Theory and Applications Training.
  • Use required PPE.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand on concrete floor with/without floor mats; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms (which may include above and/or below shoulders); bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.  The employee is regularly required to use left and/or right hand for simple grasping; fine work, pushing/pulling and fast paced assembly.  The employee is occasionally required to walk, climb or balance.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
