The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.

Responsibilities

→Leading resource planning and coordination.
→Developing engineering concepts, and articulation to the team.
→Working as part of a multi-discipline team to deliver project input.
→Project management and ownership of the engineering input into the project.
→Ability to coordinate with different teams, both within The Boring Company and externally.
→Liaising with the client, attending progress meetings and producing reports on progress.
→Providing expert engineering input into design; and evaluation of built environment proposals.
→Monitor construction schedules.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED.
Experience working with government and local agencies.
10+ years of experience in the design and/or project management of tunnels.

Acute attention to detail and strong multitasking skills.
Ability to quickly and reasonably prioritize tasks.
Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, management etc. in both formal and informal situations.
An analytical mindset that thrives on formulating strategy and presenting data.
Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency.
Exception leadership abilities.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong team-building skills

Position may require extended hours and weekend work.
Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed. Up to 20% travel.
The ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments
