Job Purpose

The Procurement Coordinator provides high-level support to the Procurement Managers and oversees procurement activities across the freight forwarding business. This role works closely with operations, logistics, finance, and commercial teams to manage supplier relationships across transport, warehousing, and service providers. This position ensures adherence to procurement policies and processes while supporting the timely and cost-effective execution of procurement initiatives.

 

Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring procurement projects align with operational requirements, service delivery expectations, and overall organisational objectives within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and performance

  • Oversee end-to-end procurement activities for all project-related requirements

  • Create, manage, and reconcile purchase orders, ensuring accurate system data and billing

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards

  • Prepare and deliver regular procurement reports, including spend analysis and supplier performance, to APAC and senior management

  • Identify and implement process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and opportunities to strengthen supplier relationships

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline

  • 1-3+ year’s experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management

  • Extensive experience across procurement processes, projects, and end-to-end supply chain management

  • Strong capability in vendor management, contract negotiations, and contract drafting

  • Solid understanding of contract law, legal terminology, and compliance requirements

  • Proficient in contract management systems, computerised procurement platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite
