Responsibilities

  • Manage RFXs received for the Road Freight business, including pricing and solution design, and coordinate the entire process from receipt of the RFX through to post-tender review.
  • Prepare detailed cost calculations and logistics concepts in line with customer requirements, including pricing sheets, solution presentations, and terms & conditions.
  • Collaborate with Operations to assess feasibility, requirements, and customer needs, ensuring effective evaluation of incoming RFXs.
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, and key stakeholders such as Fleet Management, Controlling, Legal, and HR, acting as the central point of contact for all RFQ-related topics.
  • Prepare management summaries, scenario analyses, and "what-if" calculations, and support management discussions and decision-making processes.

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the logistics and transportation industry, with a strong understanding of road freight operations and commercial processes across the European market.
  • Solid background in tender management, pricing, cost calculations, and solution design, with the ability to develop competitive customer proposals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience preparing business cases, scenario analyses, and data-driven recommendations for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of collaborating effectively with Operations, Sales, Finance, Legal, HR, and senior management teams.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong critical thinking abilities, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of complex tenders and pricing submissions.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven team player who can work independently while thriving in dynamic, international, and cross-functional environments.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); Power BI is an advantage. 
  • Fluent in German and English, with willingness to travel up to 10–20% across Europe.
