Tool Maker - Allendale Area

We are partnering with organizations in Allendale that are seeking Tool Makers. • →Fabricate, alter, and repair a wide range of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• →Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine tooling specifications.
• →Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
• →Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to ensure accuracy.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing tooling to improve performance and longevity.
• →Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tooling applications.
• →Maintain and calibrate shop equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job experience (typically 5+ years) in tool and die making
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding and practical application of various machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, EDM) and manual machining equipment
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and ability to hold tight tolerances
• Knowledge of different metal properties, heat treatment processes, and their application in tool making

• Additional certifications or training
