• →Fabricate, repair, and modify tooling, dies, fixtures, and gauges.
• →Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
• →Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• →Perform precision measurements using a variety of inspection tools to ensure quality and accuracy.
• →Troubleshoot and diagnose tooling issues, implementing effective solutions.
• →Select appropriate materials and heat treatment processes for tool manufacturing.
• →Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent on-the-job training
• 5+ years of experience in tool and die making
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and measurement techniques
• Ability to operate a wide range of machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for tool design and programming.
• Familiarity with a variety of machining processes beyond traditional milling and turning, such as EDM, laser cutting, or grinding.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving tooling issues.
• Ability to interpret and work from complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
