Tool Maker - Wayland Area

We are partnering with organizations in Wayland that are seeking Tool Makers. • →Sets up and operates conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
• →Interprets blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• →Fabricates, modifies, and repairs a variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• →Selects appropriate materials, tools, and machining methods for each project.
• →Performs precision measurements using a range of inspection equipment.
• →Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to tool performance and manufacturing processes.
• →Maintains and sharpens cutting tools to ensure optimal performance.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of various machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM
• Expertise in the use of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators
• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex tooling issues

• Additional certifications or training
