Welding Engineer - Charlotte Area

• →Develop and optimize welding procedures for various manufacturing processes.
• →Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• →Collaborate with design engineers to ensure weldability of new product designs.
• →Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and robotic systems.
• →Provide technical support and training to welding technicians and operators.
• →Implement and maintain welding quality control standards and inspection methods.

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, SAW) and their application to different materials.
• Strong understanding of welding codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
• Proficiency in metallurgical analysis and failure investigation related to welded components.

• AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software for fixture design and analysis
• Knowledge of metallurgy and material science for failure analysis and material selection
