Welder Fabricator (Heavy Equipment & Truck Repair)

We are looking for a Welder Fabricator to join our Summit Truck & Equipment Repair team in Salmo. • →General welding repairs on trailers, trucks, and custom equipment
• →Perform custom fabrication of truck, trailer, and heavy equipment components to meet customer specifications
• →Perform welding repair inspections and time estimates on road equipment
• →Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine requirements
• →Complete Structural Welding
• →Customize mobile equipment and/or parts as per the customer's request
• →Provide welding support primarily in the shop and occasionally in the field
• →Complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
• →Develop a welding repair process with the Service Manager
• →Work in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and guidelines

As a member of the Summit Truck and Equipment Repair team, we expect you to bring the following to the table:

• Journeyman Red Seal Welder certification
• 1-2 years of experience in commercial truck and trailer welding repairs
• Team player who can share his/her knowledge by teaching and coaching junior employees
• Ability to work safely in a challenging environment with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated analysis and problem-solving ability
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding duties
• Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn new programs
• Demonstrate and promote work-safe practices
