5+ years professional Linux sysadmin / DevOps / SRE / Platform Engineering.

Docker fluency: writing, debugging, and optimizing Dockerfiles and multi-service compose stacks.
- →
Networking fundamentals: DNS, TLS, HTTP semantics, reverse proxies, load balancers.
- →
Scripting: Bash plus at least one of Python (or similar like Go/Ruby).
- →
Hands-on CI/CD pipeline design with any modern system.
- →
Production operations experience - you have been on-call, you have written postmortems, you have designed a capacity plan.
- →
Familiarity with at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) including its load-balancing, object-storage, and managed-database primitives.
- →
Git fluency.
- →
Experience using AI coding assistants and agent-based workflows in real ops work.
- →
Strong written English - runbooks, RFCs, and postmortems are core deliverables.
Kubernetes operational experience (CKA welcome but not required).
Terraform or Ansible at intermediate-or-deeper depth.
Multi-cloud literacy — you have shipped on more than one of AWS, GCP, Azure.
Observability stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, OpenTelemetry, Sentry.
Database operations beyond CRUD: replication, point-in-time recovery, query tuning.
IPFS or other content-addressable / peer-to-peer storage operational experience.
Security hardening - OWASP, basic pen-testing literacy, secrets-management tooling (Vault, SOPS, AWS SM).
Cost engineering - you have right-sized a cloud bill before.
Cloud or Kubernetes certifications.
Calm under outages - you reach for tail -f before you reach for blame.
Pragmatism: you can tell when introducing Kubernetes is correct and when it is yak-shaving.
Documentation discipline - if it isn't in a runbook, it doesn't exist.
Comfortable saying "no" or "not yet" to premature complexity.
