What You’ll Do As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, treating, and managing patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. You’ll work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality respiratory care and support positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include: Performing respiratory assessments, treatments, and diagnostic evaluations Monitoring and managing patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities Collaborating with physicians to develop and implement patient care plans Providing clinical consultation, education, and technical support to healthcare staff Operating and maintaining respiratory therapy equipment Responding effectively in urgent and critical care situations Supporting additional departmental and patient care duties as needed What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a motivated professional who is confident working independently, communicates effectively, and remains calm under pressure. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills Emotionally mature with the ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations Licensure & Certifications Active Georgia Respiratory Care Professional License required NBRC Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist preferred Current BLS and ACLS certifications required PALS and NRP certifications preferred All certifications must remain active throughout employment Why Join Blue Ridge Medical Center?
