At Thorne, we work to deliver high-quality, science-backed solutions to empower individuals to take a proactive approach to their well-being. Each day begins with a mission to help others discover and achieve their best health. We count on our team members to challenge and push the boundaries to make that happen. At Thorne, you’ll be joining a team of more than 750 passionate individuals committed to our cause of providing superior health solutions at every age and life stage.

The Analytical Chemist II performs analytical laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and other samples to support Thorne’s Quality Control operations and ensure products meet established quality and testing requirements.

Working within Thorne’s QC Laboratory, this role performs qualitative and quantitative testing using established standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and analytical methods. The Analytical Chemist II is expected to demonstrate increased technical proficiency and independence, including certification across multiple analytical technologies, subject-matter expertise in at least one instrument technology, participation in method development, and the ability to troubleshoot major instrumentation issues.

This position also serves as a resource to other members of the laboratory and may act as Shift Lead as needed, helping coordinate testing priorities and support laboratory turnaround-time objectives.

The Analytical Chemist II is responsible for producing accurate, reproducible, and well-documented results while maintaining compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), laboratory procedures, and applicable ISO 17025 requirements.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analytical scientist who combines hands-on laboratory expertise with strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills. This individual is comfortable managing multiple testing priorities, working independently within established procedures, supporting other laboratory team members, and identifying and escalating analytical or instrumentation issues.

This position works first shift, Sunday through Wednesday, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Analytical Chemist II must be available to work the assigned four-day, 10-hour schedule.
