We are looking for a Senior Visual Designer to lead product aesthetics through typography, color theory, and iconography, creating accessible (WCAG) and consistent Design Systems. The ideal candidate blends this strong visual expertise with efficient dev-handoff, user research, usability testing, and the strategic use of AI.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →You will play an active role in the delivery and design of technology projects by driving end-to-end visual strategy for complex products and making high-level architectural decisions for design systems.
- →Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a wide range of experience design deliverables including design systems & tokens, typographic scales, spacing and high-fidelity UI elements.
- →You will facilitate workshops, develop unique design strategies for products and take part in making strategic decisions to ensure visual consistency, brand harmony and inclusive interfaces through WCAG accessibility guidelines.
- →Behind the scenes, you will apply various research methods such as ux research, journey mapping, usability testing with prototypes and validation of hypotheses with real users.
- →Set up inspiring design hypotheses for delivery teams while establishing an efficient handoff and clear specifications aligned with engineering for smooth development.
- →Ensure that project scope, risks and updates are regularly assessed and communicated by utilizing productive AI tools strategically to optimize processes and accelerate project deliveries.
- →Balance client and Thoughtworker expectations by clearly communicating project goals and design solutions.
- →Extend your expertise to teammates by supporting less-experienced designers through active mentoring junior peers and guiding their professional growth.
- →Advocate experience design expertise to the broader community by fostering cohesion, avoiding redundancies and promoting best practices in visual craft and autonomy.
Requirements
~1 min read- You possess strong communication capabilities to operate fluently in global environments requiring advanced English and advanced Spanish proficiency.
- You're well versed in all things experience design with specialities in driving autonomous visual strategy, advanced UI & visual consistency and scalable design systems & tokens.
- You're comfortable leading and advising research activities on experience design projects by planning UX research and running usability testing to transform insights into product solutions.
- You are an experienced storyteller able to clearly present accessible interfaces designed under WCAG standards and technical specifications meant for an efficient handoff with engineering.
- You have a proven track record of leveraging strategic productive ai tools to optimize workflows, improve delivery speed and enhance technical execution.
- You bring an inspiring, unique approach to product design and love utilizing visual craft & autonomy to guide complex architectural choices and mentor team members.
- You're happy to design solo or collaborate with designers/developers to create consistent components, defining clear variables and design systems & tokens for the team.
- You understand the importance of stakeholder management and can easily advocate for user needs based on ux research insights and successful usability testing results.
- A knack for communicating and defining project roles while ensuring WCAG accessibility compliance and delivering an efficient handoff to the development team.
