Our recent acquisition by Kessler + Co, brings enhanced manufacturing capabilities to complement our extensive experience and vehicle knowledge.
Due to continued expansion, Timoney has an exciting opportunity for an Intern Quality Engineer to join our team.
The Role
Timoney is seeking an Intern Quality Engineer to work as part of our quality.
The successful candidate will be expected to assist the quality team to:
- Maintain, improve and support the quality management system.
- Establish and maintain quality control processes and standards to ensure products meet customer expectations as well as regulatory and internal requirements.
- Perform audits and inspections of products and processes to identify defects and areas for improvement.
- Inspection of incoming and outgoing product to insure conformance to specifications.
- Maintain detailed records of quality issues, inspections, and testing results, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of customer complaints, leading the investigation and close out of issues and implementation of corrective actions.
- Be instrumental in ensuring workplace safety, compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of health and safety within the organisation.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and other departments to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
The Person
- Currently studying a relevant degree course.
- Self-starter who will also be able to operate in a team environment.
- Understanding of quality management systems (QMS) and ISO9001
- Experience with ERP/MES systems and quality management software.
- Strong communicator with the ability to work closely with colleagues across the Engineer, Manufacturing and Quality teams
