This hands-on marketing generalist will lead integrated marketing for Totara’s US Public Sector business across Federal and SLED markets. The role owns event marketing, sector communications and email programs, partnerships and sponsorships, content, web strategy, and campaign coordination.
Working closely with Demand Generation and Sales, this role will build brand awareness and generate demand for Totara across the US Public Sector. It will deliver integrated campaigns that strengthen TotaraGov’s market presence, engage priority Federal and SLED audiences, and generate qualified pipeline.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Own and execute the integrated marketing plan for the US Public Sector across Federal and SLED markets.
- →Lead field and event marketing, including conferences, trade shows, webinars, roundtables, sponsorships, partner events, and pre- and post-event communications.
- →Own the public-sector communications and email calendar, including campaign emails, nurture programs, announcements, newsletters, and event promotion.
- →Develop and manage partnerships and sponsorships with industry associations, media organizations, system integrators, and other public-sector partners.
- →Drive paid campaign strategy in partnership with the Demand Generation team by defining target audiences, messaging, offers, content, creative requirements, landing pages, and sales follow-up plans.
- →Lead integrated campaigns across email, paid digital, website, SEO, content syndication, events, and partner channels to build awareness and generate pipeline.
- →Own the strategy and content roadmap for TotaraGov.com, including campaign landing pages and ongoing website optimization.
- →Develop account-based marketing programs targeting Federal agencies, SLED organizations, system integrators, and other priority accounts.
- →Create public-sector messaging and content across email, web, events, sales enablement, blogs, ebooks, guides, and white papers.
- →Partner closely with Public Sector Sales on account priorities, campaign planning, messaging, event follow-up, and sales materials.
- →Track campaign and event performance, measure return on investment, and report marketing’s contribution to pipeline.
- 5–7+ years of broad B2B marketing experience, ideally in SaaS, GovTech, HR technology, or learning technology.
- Experience marketing to US Federal or SLED audiences, with an understanding of procurement cycles, budget processes, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience delivering integrated marketing programs across events, email, partnerships, content, web, and digital channels.
- Strong field and event marketing experience, including conference planning, sponsorship activation, event promotion, and post-event follow-up.
- Experience developing partner marketing programs with associations, media organizations, technology partners, or system integrators.
- Strong messaging, writing, and storytelling skills across email, web, event promotion, sales enablement, and long-form content.
- Working knowledge of paid digital marketing and experience partnering with demand generation or media specialists to launch and optimize campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with email automation, campaign operations, and account-based marketing programs.
- Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and lead multiple programs simultaneously.
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly with Sales, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and external partners.
Nice to Have

- Experience with HubSpot, Google Analytics, WordPress, Semrush, and account-based marketing tools.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, GovRAMP, and other public-sector compliance frameworks.
