Join our Limassol trading team as a Dealer/Quant Trader, where you will play a key role in enhancing our market-making desk operations. Your expertise will be essential in improving efficiency, mitigating product abuse, and refining our analytics and automation. Collaborate closely with both the data team and tech stakeholders to achieve these goals.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Dealing & Execution: oversee market-making activities to maintain liquidity and competitive spreads.
- →Quantitative Analysis & Research:
- →conduct ad hoc research and screening tasks using Python, SQL, and statistical methods and AI automations.
- →Identify opportunities and patterns for spotting abuse or driving down transaction costs and developing them together with the data team.
- →Product Abuse & Compliance
- →Proactively identify suspicious trading patterns or product abuse
- →Work with the data team to refine detection algorithms, alerts, and processes.
- →Coordinate with internal stakeholders to escalate issues and implement corrective measures.
- →Tooling & Automation
- →Collaborate with developers and data scientists to build or enhance internal tools and scripts.
- →Automate routine dealing desk tasks, focusing on scalability using Python and AI automations.
- →Market & Risk Monitoring
- →Stay current on crypto market specifics, including liquidity, volatility, and regulatory changes.
- →Track performance of trading strategies, adjusting as needed based on market conditions and risk appetite.
Requirements

- Strong mathematics and statistics background.
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, scripting, and model building.
Solid understanding of SQL for querying large datasets. - Trading & Market Knowledge:
- Previous experience in trading or market-making— high-frequency prop trading is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with crypto market microstructure, including order types, liquidity dynamics, and exchange APIs.
- Strong grasp of risk management concepts (P&L, position sizing, hedging).
- Analytical & Problem-Solving:
- Ability to spot unusual trading activity and craft systematic solutions to detect and address it.
- Comfort tackling ambiguous problems and translating them into actionable insights.
- Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, especially with data scientists and software developers.
Location: Willingness to be on-site/hybrid in Limassol to collaborate closely with the local team.
