R&D Engineer I

As a Trex R&D Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the improvement, design and development of new and existing products, formulations, and equipment. As a member of our Research and Development team, you’ll be developing resources and vendors capable of meeting the company’s needs.

• →Communicate and consult with outside technical resources.

• →Ability to travel up to 25%.

We are looking for someone with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 0 to 5 years of experience in thermoplastic processing, chemical manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance.

  • Experience in manufacturing or research experience in polymerization processes or product design.

  • Experience in 6 Sigma a plus.
  • Product or process design experience utilizing SolidWorks 3D CAD, demonstrated hands on mechanical aptitude

Base Salary Range: $71,000 - $100,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.
