A Brief Overview The Software Engineer is responsible for the development, testing and release of our organization's web and mobile applications. What you will do * Participate in the design and development of new solutions as well as in enhancements and updates to existing solutions along with fixing the issues in the system * Contribute to the software development life cycle, focusing on development, testing, troubleshooting and debugging software solutions * Contribute to the best coding practices and help with code merges and releases. * Develop unit and automation test scripts under the test-driven development lifecycle * Leverage AI coding assistants for code generation, review, and test creation * Build rapid prototypes and proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new ideas and solutions Education Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or related field or equivalent experience preferred Experience Qualifications * 0–2 years of experience and prior internship or coursework experience recommended Skills and Abilities * Understanding of all phases of Software development life cycle * Experience with TypeScript or familiarity with other typed/OOP languages * Experience with UI modern framework like React * Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL is a plus) — basic schema design and query writing, SQL and data modeling skills * Familiarity with microservice architecture, end-to-end UI/API integration, API protocols like REST and graphQL * Hands-on use of AI-assisted coding tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex or similar) Tools we use * Slack, Asana, VS Code, Cursor, Claude, GitHub, PostgreSQL, Datadog, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace. Travel Requirements Minimal. The team has occasional onsites where your attendance would be required. They may take place in Atlanta, or elsewhere in the US. Work Environment * You will be working out of the TriNet Atlanta (120 High St #300, Dunwoody, GA 30346) office. The preferred location for this role is Atlanta, GA, and the salary range for this location is $89,600.00 to $168,000.00. All qualified external applicants will be considered for an in-office role, based in Atlanta. All qualified internal candidates are encouraged to apply and consider relocation to Atlanta and may be considered for remote hire at the company’s discretion. The candidate’s final salary offer will be based on the candidate’s skills, education, work location and experience. A candidate’s compensation may also include bonuses consistent with TriNet’s corporate bonus plan.
