Join Bókun, a Tripadvisor company, and help transform the tours and activities industry. Our booking management software helps travel operators worldwide increase their bookings and simplify operations. As part of our team, you'll help develop solutions that improve how businesses in the travel sector operate and grow.
We are looking for a Junior Engineer to join our team in Reykjavík, Iceland. This role is open to engineers with up to 2–3 years of experience, including recent graduates with strong projects to show. You'll work across our full stack alongside experienced colleagues, building features that ship to real users.

This role is an on-site position in our Reykjavik, Iceland office.
- Computer Science Degree
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language
- Comfortable communicating in English (our working language)
Nice to Have

- Experience with REST APIs and modern web development
- Some experience with relational databases (SQL)
- Personal projects, open source contributions, or a portfolio you're proud of
- Background or interest in travel, e-commerce, or marketplaces
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Build for real operators. Work on features used by thousands of tour and activity businesses around the world — what you ship gets used, fast.
- →Work across the stack. You'll touch both frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend (Java), and figure out which side you want to grow into.
- →Write code, daily. This is a hands-on role. You'll spend most of your time building, not in meetings.
- →Work end-to-end. Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to take features from idea to production.
- →Grow your craft. We invest in your development — through code review, pairing, and time to learn new things.
- →Collaborate with the best. Join a team of experienced engineers who'll brainstorm ideas with you, give thoughtful feedback, and help you level up.

What We Offer
