  • Manage and lead the team to ensure efficient and effective execution of the iOS and Android release processes.
  • Drive automation initiatives to improve release cycles on platforms like App Store, Google Play, and for OEM Stores.
  • Enable high app quality and testability by overseeing the development of tooling and defining quality standards (e.g., automated crash/ANR detection systems, and integration of testing tools).
  • Drive the Release Team roadmap and scope, offering valuable input in decision-making related to team delivery.
  • Mentor and guide engineers, helping them develop both technically and culturally in a fast-paced, multi-platform environment.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for mobile release engineering and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
  • Be hands-on balancing leadership with technical guidance to support the team in troubleshooting and implementing critical systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, ensuring the team works with the best tools available for release and testing automation.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience as an Engineering Manager or technical leader.
  • 6+ years of technical experience in mobile engineering (iOS and/or Android), with a focus on the mobile release lifecycle (App Store, Google Play, OEM Stores).
  • Proven expertise in mobile release engineering, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Fastlane, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Experience with release train management and advanced branching strategies (e.g., Gitflow).
  • Experience implementing and leveraging quality and observability tools (e.g., Crashlytics, Firebase) for automated detection and triage of issues.
  • Solid understanding of the Android and/or iOS SDKs and modern mobile architectures.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and ability to drive efficient development workflows.
  • A passion for coaching and mentoring.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, particularly for managing cross-functional stakeholder and external partner relationships (e.g., Google Play Policy).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-platform environment.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go, Ruby) for building internal tools and automation.
  • Understanding of App Store and Google Play policy and compliance requirements.
  • Experience building and managing mobile device farms for automated testing at scale.
