Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide tutoring to Upward Bound students to assist with comprehension of course work, and work with program staff to improve student retention and success.
- →Promote effective academic readiness and good study habits.
- →Maintain attendance data and provide tutoring evaluations of student learning to ensure positive academic progress is achieved.
- →Enhance learning concepts and strategies; test preparation; and assist with skill building as needed.
- →Subject areas needed: English composition and literature; history; social sciences: all areas; Mathematics (Geometry, Algebra I, II, III, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Probability & Statistics); Science (Physical Science, Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics); Spanish.
Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates. Requires consistent on-time attendance.
- →Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
- →Maintains strong working relationship with staff.
- →Contributes to the overall success of the department by performing all other duties as requested or assigned.
