Project Manager - Loco Repair

An exciting internal opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to join our UGL Transport Manufacturing & Maintenance team in Bassendean on a 12-month fixed-term basis.

This role will suit someone who enjoys taking ownership of complex projects, working across multiple teams and building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for delivering project outcomes safely, commercially and in line with agreed scope, schedule, quality and financial requirements.

You will act as the key UGL interface with the customer and coordinate project activities across a matrix environment. The role may also involve managing rolling stock manufacturing undertaken internationally, including potential activity in China and/or Indonesia.

• →Lead assigned projects from establishment through to successful delivery
• →Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality and financial performance
• →Mobilise and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams
• →Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
• →Monitor project KPIs, risks, opportunities and commercial performance
• →Identify opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and project outcomes
• →Prepare weekly, monthly and ad hoc project reporting
• →Ensure projects operate within UGL's Project Management and HSEQ frameworks
• →Support continuous improvement, project reviews, health checks and lessons learned.

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who can confidently lead complex projects and bring together operational, technical and commercial priorities.

You'll ideally bring:

• A technical trade or tertiary qualification in Engineering and/or Manufacturing
• A Project Management qualification, preferably AIPM Certificate IV or above
• CPPM certification or equivalent demonstrated experience
• At least 5 years' project management experience within a multidisciplinary production, manufacturing, maintenance or engineering environment
• Understanding of project management methodologies such as PMBoK, Prince2 or Agile
• Experience with MS Project, Primavera P6 or equivalent scheduling software
• Strong project controls, financial forecasting, risk and opportunity management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial acumen and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Experience managing offshore manufacturing would be highly regarded.

Experience within rail, automotive, Defence, aviation or another safety-critical environment, along with Lean, Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement qualifications, would also be advantageous.
