The University of Denver is a private institution dedicated to the public good. Here, we create a better future for all.

Through the 4D Experience, our community members build skills, knowledge and perspective at our campuses nestled in the vibrant city of Denver and the Rocky Mountains. As globally-minded citizens, we strive to make a difference in the world and create real, lasting change through collaborations and cutting-edge research designed to solve real-world challenges. For over 150 years, DU has offered a multitude of disciplines, majors and degrees designed to prepare students for lives and careers of purpose.

Career & Professional Development (CPD) empowers students and alumni to explore, prepare for, and pursue meaningful careers through personalized guidance, experiential learning, and employer engagement. Its purpose is to bridge academic experiences with professional opportunities, fostering lifelong career success and industry connections. CPD is one of five offices on campus providing career development services to a diverse community of DU students and alumni. CPD serves all the undergraduate programs (except the Daniels College of Business), College of Professional Studies, multiple graduate programs, and alumni not served by the other career services offices on campus.

The Marketing and Events Coordinator supports the marketing and communications strategy for CPD utilizing a variety of social, digital, and traditional communications channels including the CPD website. This will include but is not limited to collaborating across CPD teams to coordinate communication with students, alumni, and campus partners, maintaining social media to support the overall communications strategy; and helping to curate content that may be helpful to students and alumni in their job and internship searches. Additionally, the Coordinator will lead and coordinate a variety of campus-wide events

  • The Marketing and Events Coordinator will develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy to increase awareness of CPD and engagement with career development activities among students, alumni, and other constituents in support of the University’s bold goal of improving student outcomes. Additionally, the coordinator will lead and coordinate several campus-wide events and programs. The coordinator will create promotional and marketing collateral including social media content, digital displays, website and online content management, email templates, newsletters and outreach. The coordinator will liaise with program managers and student employees in CPD to develop and maintain a communications and marketing schedule and workflow that is effective in reaching student and alumni audiences and that leverages the contributions of multiple staff teams.
