NICU Respiratory Therapist

Our health system encompasses two hospital locations in Robbinsdale and Maple Grove as well as a network of 23 clinics which includes 13 primary clinics, 6 specialty clinics, 4 urgent care/urgency centers and emergency care offerings covering five counties. Our Maple Grove Hospital was established in 2009, is a 134-bed facility recognized as a top hospital in the state for Women and Children Care, with a Level III NICU, and is the largest Family Birth Center in the state (~5,000 deliveries per year and over 60,000 babies delivered). About this position 

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for respiratory therapy duties including oxygen administration, application of ventilators, initiation, assessment of and recommendations for respiratory care services including diagnostic studies under physician supervision. Actively and consistently demonstrates the mission, vision, values and guiding principles of Maple Grove Hospital.

$7,200 Sign-On Bonus

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus. Current team members or former team members employed by North Memorial Health, Maple Grove Health or Blaze Health in the last six (6) months are not eligible to receive a sign on bonus. Sign-on bonuses have a repayment commitment, and a prorated repayment is required if the commitment is not fulfilled. 

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved JRCRTE/COARC respiratory program. Bachelor's degree preferred   

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience in a NICU is required.
• New Graduate RT from an accredited Respiratory Therapist school will be considered.
• Ability to take initiative, be self-motivated and an independent, accountable, dependable performer.
• Effective planning, time management, organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Solid PC skills to include electronic medical record, MS applications, internet, etc.
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to express ideas and information (both in written and oral form), clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to the audience.
• Demonstrated ability to deal with conflict in a positive manner. Has an awareness of, responds to, and considers the needs, feelings and capabilities of others.
• Ability to be accountable for quality customer service and respond appropriately to a variety of personalities and situations.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
• Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.

Salary Range: MG Respiratory & RRT Therapist ($40.80 - $55.47), based on experience  

Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
