Requirements

Graduate of approved school of nursing
BSN or working towards a BSN or professional certification within one year of employment preferred.
NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse
2 to 5 years of medical-surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred
Current BLS
Good Communication skills and skilled in customer service
Reliability and flexibility
Demonstrates the CARES Values at all times.

Responsibilities

→Assessment of patients to monitor for changes in patients' condition
→Treatment and medication administration
→Documentation of patient status and response to treatment
→Education of patient and family on treatment plan, discharge instructions and care protocols related to their condition
→Coordination of Care with physicians, case managers and other members of the health care team to ensure a safe discharge or full admission to the hospital
