V3 Sports is a nonprofit organization rooted in North Minneapolis, dedicated to elevating our community through wellness, fitness and education. Since 2007, we've created opportunities for youth, families, and adults to live healthier lives through aquatics, fitness, education, and community programming. In 2024, V3 Sports opened the V3 Sports Center, a state-of-the-art community wellness destination featuring an award-winning aquatics facility, modern fitness spaces, and programs designed to serve people of all ages. Every day the V3 Center brings people together to improve their health, build confidence, and strengthen community.

$17 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

This is a part-time position that will work between ten to twenty hours per week.

Responsibilities

The Membership Specialist reports to the Membership Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day front desk operations such as selling memberships, providing accurate facility and membership information, setting up and linking accounts correctly, and offering general information on programming.

  • →Greet and interact with all guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • →Ensure that all members and guests are properly checked in at V3 and participate in the delivery of services to members.
  • →Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • →Managing communication channels like emails, phone calls, and face-to-face interactions.
  • →Maintaining a deep knowledge of V3 Sports products, services, policies and eligibility requirements.
  • →Responsible for learning all applicable V3 membership categories to give prospective members timely and precise information on V3 membership and programs.
  • →Learn and use the Mindbody software to register new members and troubleshoot issues.
  • →Maintain a clean and organized member service desk.
  • →Follow proper procedures for all membership transactions.
  • →Following all proper cash handling and cash drawer procedures.
  • →Open and close the Membership operation when scheduled.
  • →Give facility tours as needed.
  • Willingness to learn a variety of tasks, excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of nonprofit practices, a serious work ethic, and a desire to work in a team-orientated environment.
  • Moderate computer skills required.
  • Must reliably show up for shifts on time.
  • Understanding of the importance of customer service and being professional.
  • Knowledge and experience with diverse groups of people of all socioeconomic conditions.
  • Demonstrable skills in conflict management.
  • You are able and willing to maintain current CPR, First Aid, AED, and BBP certifications. (For new hires, training will be provided during onboarding.)
