Valspec—a global provider of system validation and lifecycle services—provides commissioning and qualification of computerized systems for clients in the Life Sciences industry. Established in 1999, Valspec’s mission is to provide a wide spectrum of services that help its clients meet their capital project and lifecycle maintenance goals.

Valspec’s projects are critical to the industry, and to the people who rely on its products. Many projects ensure that life-changing drugs are available to those who need them; others streamline production to meet demand at a lower cost, allowing for the discovery of new and innovative therapies.

Valspec is a leading engineering and validation consulting firm serving the life sciences industry. We partner with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and advanced manufacturing organizations to deliver automation, engineering, validation, and compliance solutions that support critical operations and facilities.

We are seeking an Automation Project Engineer to support a pharmaceutical research and development campus. This role will work directly with facility maintenance and engineering teams to support building automation systems, utility controls, lighting control systems, and related automation infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2-5 years of experience who is looking to expand their knowledge of facility automation systems while contributing to meaningful engineering projects in a highly technical environment.

The Automation Project Engineer will provide engineering and automation support for facility and utility systems across a complex research environment. The successful candidate will work with Building Automation Systems (BAS), lighting controls, utility skid control systems, PLC interfaces, and supporting network infrastructure.

This role combines hands-on automation support, project coordination, technical documentation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
