Responsibilities
~2 min read1. Execute design engineering tasks under New Product Development (NPDI) and product improvement projects, ensuring compliance with global engineering standards and practices.
2.Develop and deliver high-quality project outputs for customized orders including CAD models, detailed drawings, assemblies, Bills of Materials (BOM), and Change Orders.
3. Independently handle simple to complex design projects from concept to production, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and alignment with project requirements.
4. Identifying Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects for make product cost competitive.
5. Provide technical expertise in Creo PLM tools, sheet metal, busbar, insulations, hardware parts., ensuring robust and optimized designs.
6. Support cross-functional collaboration across global teams, ensuring clear communication of technical requirements, risks, and progress.
7. Participate in project reviews with internal teams and stakeholders, providing insights, addressing technical challenges, and contributing to design optimization.
8. Estimate and plan personal project deliverables, ensuring timely execution while adhering to organizational quality and documentation standards.
9. Continuously improve design methodologies, tools, and processes, contributing to efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.
10. Engaging with supplier to validate product manufacturing feasibility (DFM) and identify CTQ points to get the hasslefree production.
11. Providing technical guidance and helping to build team competency in engineering best practices.
12. Take ownership of assigned deliverables, ensuring that designs meet cost, quality, and schedule commitments.
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a strong background in product design and development.
2. 7–10 years of hands-on experience electromechanical product design and manufacturing.
3. Proficient in 3D modelling in Creo software (preferable) for creating and managing large assemblies, complex 3D models, and detailed drawings. Experience in MBD will be an advantage.
4. Strong experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools like, agile, windchill etc.
5. Solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and design-for-manufacturability principles.
6. Experience in electrical enclosures, or related fabrication-based product design is preferred.
7. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve technical challenges independently.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global environment.
9. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and disciplined, with a strong drive for continuous learning and improvement.
10. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, with self-motivation, discipline, and a passion for continuous learning. The Team Lead should be capable of inspiring and organizing the team to achieve project milestones and quality standards.
