Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Virginia Family Services (VFS) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Facilitator (CSAC or CSAC-Supervisee) to join our Addiction Recovery Treatment Services team. The ideal candidate is passionate about supporting individuals experiencing substance-use challenges and has experience providing counseling, recovery education, and treatment services in a structured clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and co-lead substance-use counseling and recovery groups.
- Provide individual and group counseling services within the scope of professional credentials and supervision.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans.
- Provide care coordination services and connect individuals with appropriate community resources.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with VFS and DBHDS requirements.
- Monitor and document consumer progress toward treatment goals.
- Administer random drug screenings according to established procedures.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and required training.
- Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, and a supportive treatment environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Current Virginia CSAC certification or applicable CSAC-Supervisee status with the Virginia Board of Counseling.
- Knowledge of substance-use counseling interventions and recovery principles.
- Understanding of American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) criteria.
- Experience with clinical documentation, treatment planning, and group counseling.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff and maintain professional standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience providing substance-use counseling in a behavioral health or addiction recovery setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and DBHDS documentation requirements.
- Experience supporting individuals with co-occurring substance-use and mental health needs.
