Pursue the clinical, research, and education missions of the VCU’s academic medical center in the specialties of Hematology, Oncology, and Palliative Care.  Through bench research, clinical trials, and the rigorous study of prevention control, our scientists pursue the many roles of medicine in treating, preventing, and managing the adverse events of cancer through the continuum of care.  Our hallmark activity is translational research, where our physicians and scientists work to bring laboratory discoveries to the patient as quickly and safely as possible.  Through our training programs, our faculty train the next generation of physicians and scientists to further advance practice and science.

The VCU School of Medicine Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care and Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center are seeking a medical oncologist and hematologist to practice at our future, new location in Chesterfield County.

This position will be responsible for seeing patients in the outpatient clinic and attending on the inpatient wards and consult service.

Trains medical students, residents and fellows in the lab and while in the clinic.  Expected to actively participate in providing clinical research opportunities to fellows.

You will have access to our strong VCU School of Medicine faculty development programs, research training and resources.  You may participate in sponsored research activities for which your expectations include, but are not limited to, preparing manuscripts for submission to scholarly journals and preparing presentations as professional conferences.  Likewise, you may be an investigator on sponsored research activities.

Attends on the inpatient wards and consult service, and/or sees patients in the outpatient clinic with a focus on hematologic malignancies.
