Supplier Quality Engineer

As our Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in building and strengthening the supplier quality foundation behind our autonomous blood collection technology. You operate at the intersection of Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, ensuring that externally manufactured parts and subassemblies meet the quality standards required for a reliable and scalable medical device.

You will work closely with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders to understand manufacturing processes, identify quality risks, and drive structural improvements. In this role, you combine technical understanding with a hands-on quality mindset. You know how to translate supplier performance, production realities, and regulatory expectations into practical actions that improve product quality, supplier accountability, and long-term operational robustness.

After 12 months, supplier scorecards are in place, supplier improvement plans are actively running, and there is a clearer and more consistent way of managing supplier quality performance across the supply base. Critical process steps at appointed suppliers are mapped and understood, and the most important quality gaps towards ISO 13485 have been identified and translated into concrete actions.

You have helped Vitestro build stronger supplier partnerships, with suppliers that take ownership of quality and recognize Vitestro as a professional and preferred customer. Internally, you are seen as a trusted quality partner who helps connect operational realities, supplier capabilities, and product quality requirements in a pragmatic and structured way.

  Understand and assess the manufacturing processes of appointed suppliers, including critical process steps and quality control methods.

  Build, implement, and continuously improve supplier quality processes, standards, and ways of working.

  Identify gaps towards ISO 13485 and support the organization in strengthening supplier-related quality controls.

  Develop supplier scorecards and quality KPIs to monitor supplier performance and drive accountability.

  Define, coordinate, and follow up on supplier improvement plans.

  Support supplier qualification activities and evaluate new suppliers from a quality and manufacturability perspective.

  Investigate supplier non-conformities and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

  Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Quality colleagues to improve incoming quality, process robustness, and long-term supplier performance.
