## Join Us Position: Specialist: IT Network Operations Reporting To: Manager: IT Operations Department: Billing and Information Technology Job Purpose To support the IT Network Infrastructure, maintains it and manages its evolution. Key Accountabilities * Ensures the Network infrastructure and services are running optimally and securely * Configures, tests, and deploys Network elements such as routers, switches etc * Network troubleshooting and fault analysis; hardware troubleshooting and repair * Application of configuration changes via our change control systems and processes * Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools * Day-to-day network performance monitoring * Supports and maintains Load balancers * Supports and maintains Access Control System * Support and maintenance of CCTV * Patches network vulnerabilities to ensure information is safeguarded against outside parties * Documents the design, update changes and processes Qualifications and Experience * Degree or equivalent in IT/Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification. * Cyber Security Certification * Fortinet Certified Professional: Security Operations Certification * At least 2 years or more working within a Telecommunication Sector * Knowledge of cybersecurity principles * Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies * Ability to operate network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, transmission media, and related hardware * Knowledge of communication methods, principles, and concepts (e.g., crypto, dual hubs, time multiplexers) that support the network infrastructure Skills * Skill in configuring and utilizing network protection components (e.g., Firewalls, VPNs, network intrusion detection systems) * Excellent Interpersonal skills * Analytical skills * Troubleshooting skills
