We are looking for Tank Trailer Mechanics/ Welders to deliver the exceptional service experience. This is an exciting opportunity with a leading manufacturer of stainless-steel equipment serving all industries used by all consumers, while working closely with a close-knit team to plan and accomplish all goals.

 

Requirements

  • Experience welding on aluminum, stainless, and mild steel tanks, and components is a must.
  • Seeking experienced petroleum, chemical and dry bulk tank mechanics
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Must have a valid driver's license: CDL Preferred
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening required by DOT.
  • Experience with DOT and ASME tank repairs
  • Experience moving trailers in and out of shop a plus
  • Understanding of tank plumbing and operation
  • Experience installing power takeoffs, drive lines, and product pumping systems
  • Experience with DOT tank inspection procedures and testing equipment
  • Layout and fabrication skills
  • Registered Inspector training and certification a plus
  • Must have your own tools
  • Preferably the successful candidate will have inspector credentials
  • Requires minimum of eight hours standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, pushing, and pulling with a full range of body mechanics/movements.
  • Regularly required to lift and carry up to 35 (thirty-five) pounds. Frequently required to lift and carry up to fifty-five (55) pounds. Occasionally required to lift and carry up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
  • Must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladder, stairs, heights, platforms and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.
  • Must have ability to operate a variety of power and hand tools safely, work with compressed air safely, operate fork trucks safely and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).

The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes and chemicals, which may include solvents, undercoating, paint, and caulking. Fast paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles.
