The Waymo Driver powers Waymo’s fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states.
The Business Development and Partnerships team helps plan Waymo's dynamic future and drive the company's go-to-market strategy. We work cross-functionally and leverage quantitative and qualitative analysis to build forward-looking partnerships that deliver on Waymo's strategic business objectives. As a member of this entrepreneurial and results-oriented team, you will have a significant impact on defining, developing and executing Waymo's commercial deployment.
In this hybrid role, you will report to a Head of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships, Commercial Growth.

- 8+ years of work experience, including 5+ years in business development or strategic partnerships in the technology, transportation and/or mobility sector / 8 年以上の実務経験。そのうち 5 年以上は、テクノロジー、運輸、モビリティ分野における事業開発または戦略的パートナーシップの領域の経験であること
- Full business proficiency in both Japanese and English language (verbal and written) and the ability to cross-contextualize and communicate effectively across both Japanese and US cultures and styles / 日本語および英語における高いビジネス語学力(会話および読み書き)。日米両方の文化やスタイルの違いを深く理解し、文脈を補完しながら効果的にコミュニケーションを図る能力
- Experience structuring and negotiating strategic partnership agreements / 戦略的パートナーシップ契約の構築および交渉における実務経験
- Experience leading and influencing a cross-functional team, particularly a team that includes policy, operations, product, marketing and finance stakeholders / 部門横断的なチーム(特に政策、運用、プロダクト、マーケティング、財務などのステークホルダーを含むチーム)を牽引し、組織に影響を与えた経験
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience / 学士号、またはそれに相当する実務経験
We Prefer / 望ましい条件/経験:
- Deep understanding of the autonomous vehicle, ride hailing or broader mobility industries / 自律運転車、配車サービス、または幅広いモビリティ業界における深い知識
- Deep understanding of the Japanese business landscape, culture, and regulatory environment (especially in mobility or technology) / 日本のビジネス環境、文化、および規制環境(特にモビリティやテクノロジー分野)に関する深い知識
- Experience working in both US and Japanese companies / 米国企業および日本企業双方における勤務経験
- Direct experience with international market entry, product launches, or scaling a new business / 国際市場への参入、プロダクト リリース、または新規事業の拡大に直接携わった経験
