Maintenance Associate-Yard and Property- 1st Shift

Primarily responsible for the cultivation and care of grounds/yard surrounding facility.  Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

• →Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained 
• →Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning etc to ensure plants, shrubs and trees remain healthy
• →Perform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and/ or other minor structural repairs etc.
• →Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility
• →Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
• →Other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

• Previous experience in landscaping a plus
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character

• Follow departmental and company safety policies and programs
• Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where required

• Ability to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment
• Ability to stand up to 8 hours
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
