Welch’s is seeking a curious, forward-thinking Manager of Consumer Insights and Analytics to help shape what’s next for one of America’s most iconic food and beverage brands.
This is a newly created role within our Brand & Innovation team for an emerging leader in the Consumer Insights space. The role offers an opportunity to influence how consumer understanding informs brand strategy, innovation, product development, and business growth. You’ll bring the voice of the consumer into critical decisions, uncover emerging opportunities, and translate complex research into clear, actionable direction for the business.
Welch’s is transforming a 150-year-old brand with extraordinary equity and purpose. We have introduced a bold master brand campaign, Let’s Fruit Stuff Up, modernized our packaging, and built a disruptive innovation pipeline designed to expand how and where consumers experience fruit. Now, we’re looking for an insights leader who can help us build on that momentum and make Welch’s even more modern, relevant, and meaningful to today’s consumers.

This role is based at our corporate headquarters in Waltham, Massachusetts, a collaborative, energetic environment where new ideas are encouraged and cross-functional partnership is essential.
Our hybrid work model is designed to balance connection and flexibility. Employees collaborate in the office three days per week, with Thursday and Friday serving as remote flexibility days.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Help shape the consumer learning agenda for Welch’s Brand & Innovation team, aligning research priorities with our most important brand, innovation, and growth objectives.
- →Lead consumer insights projects from initial business question through research design, execution, analysis, and recommendation.
- →Partner closely with Brand, Innovation, R&D, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to uncover consumer needs and translate findings into clear business direction.
- →Bring a strong point of view to research findings, helping stakeholders understand not only what the data says, but what it means and what we should do next.
- →Identify opportunities and potential risks within Welch’s core categories while exploring new growth spaces with our Transformational Innovation and Licensing teams.
- →Work alongside Brand and R&D to identify unmet consumer needs, assess new product opportunities, and optimize prototypes, reformulations, concepts, and positioning.
- →Own relationships with Welch’s primary qualitative and quantitative research partners, including platform strategy, budgets, renewals, performance, and the identification of new capabilities.
- →Expand and strengthen our Consumer Segmentation Playbook by integrating additional data sources and making consumer understanding more actionable across the organization.
- →Leverage a custom AI-enabled platform to modernize our research library, accelerate analysis, uncover connections, and identify new ways to apply consumer intelligence.
- →Modernize and manage Welch’s idea and product-testing databases, creating an organized, searchable, and continuously updated source of institutional knowledge.
- →Stay current on emerging research methods, technologies, and quick-turn solutions that can help Welch’s learn faster and make stronger decisions.
- →Roll up your sleeves to deliver high-quality work with speed, accuracy, curiosity, and sound judgment.
- Deeply curious about consumers, how they make decisions, and what drives them to try, adopt, or reject new products.

- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, marketing, anthropology, statistics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may also be considered.
- Five or more years of relevant consumer insights, market research, or related experience.
- Experience within food and beverage or consumer packaged goods is strongly preferred.
- Strong foundational knowledge of the consumer insights industry, including research partners, methodologies, and quick-turn solutions.
- Hands-on research capabilities, including experience with DIY research platforms, screener and survey development, and data-quality validation.
- Experience applying quantitative and qualitative research techniques to answer business questions.
- Ability to integrate primary, secondary, syndicated, and other data sources into cohesive insights and recommendations.
- Knowledge of innovation and new-product-development research, including concept and product testing, in-market measurement, and performance tracking.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex findings clear, relevant, and actionable.

The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 annually for U.S.-based employees. This range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position across all U.S. locations, is based on a full-time work schedule, and represents Welch’s good-faith estimate as of the date of this posting. Individual compensation within the range is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
