This position will be based in Windhoek, Namibia.
Position Purpose:
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination and control of all supply chain and materials management activities to ensure the timely availability of aircraft parts, components, tools and consumables required to support aircraft maintenance and operational activities. The position ensures compliance with aviation regulatory requirements including EASA Part-145 and Part-CAMO / Part-M, company procedures and approved supplier standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supply Chain Management
- Manage end-to-end supply chain activities including procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Ensure continuous availability of aircraft parts and materials for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Develop supply chain strategies to optimize cost, availability, and operational efficiency.
- Procurement & Supplier Management
- Source aircraft components from approved aviation suppliers and OEMs.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance including delivery reliability and quality compliance.
- Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with Quality and Compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with EASA Part-145 material control requirements.
- Verify aircraft component certification such as EASA Form 1 and FAA 8130-3.
- Maintain full traceability and documentation of aircraft parts.
- Inventory & Logistics Management
- Maintain optimal inventory levels for rotables, expendables, and consumables.
- Manage AOG logistics for rapid response.
- Oversee international shipping and customs clearance for aviation materials.
- Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise buyers, logistics coordinators, and warehouse staff.
- Provide training and development for aviation materials management.
- Operational Coordination
- Coordinate with Maintenance Planning, Engineering, CAMO, and Quality Assurance.
- Ensure materials availability aligns with maintenance schedules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Aviation Management or Business Administration.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in aviation supply chain or materials management.
- Experience with aviation procurement and inventory systems.
- Regulatory knowledge of
- EASA Part-145 – Maintenance Organization Requirements (will be an advantage);
- EASA Part-CAMO / Part-M – Continuing Airworthiness Management (will be an advantage);
- Aircraft component certification and traceability requirements;
- Aviation quality and audit procedures.
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and regulatory compliance awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced aviation operational environment.
