Responsibilities

→Provide support to the outside orders team in the absence of the Supervisor of Patient Access Services
→Assist in training and orienting new and existing employees
→Oversee daily department functions including phone coverage, scheduling, and staff presence
→Monitor supplies and notify management when replenishment is needed
→Oversee equipment service needs and coordinate repairs as necessary
→Provide direction to staff regarding scheduling questions or issues
→Monitor and assign work tasks
→Update patient information as needed
→Provide feedback and recommendations to management regarding employee performance
→Monitor staff adherence to departmental and organizational policies and procedures
→Maintain professionalism and ensure confidentiality of patient and employee information
→Collaborate with management, support teams, and staff
→Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the healthcare industry and/or customer service environment or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of payer networks and guidelines
