Position:          Manager, Supply Chain Execution and Systems

Shift:                Regular, Full-Time        

Department:    Supply Chain – Project Services              

Location:         Richmond, British Columbia      

Salary:                115,000 – 135,000

Reports to:       Senior Director, Project Execution         

 

PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain team is seeking a Manager, Supply Chain Execution and Systems to own the end-to-end execution of supply into projects, ensuring material availability, delivery performance, and data integrity. Reporting to the Senior Director, Project Execution, this role will drive the transformation of supply chain systems, processes, and outsourcing interfaces to deliver reliable operations today and a scalable future model.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Supply Execution
    • Ensure material readiness for all projects (on time, complete, aligned to schedule)
    • Lead the project buying team in execution of all purchasing activities
    • Own supplier delivery performance across active suppliers
    • Drive issue resolution and escalation to protect project timelines
    • Ensure alignment with Engineering on BoM availability, completeness, and accuracy, enabling timely uploads to ERP to secure timely orders to suppliers correctly the first time
  • Planning Integration
    • Lead master planning, key component planning and constraint management
    • Align demand, supply, and project schedules through effective S&OP
    • Ensure planning outputs translate into executable procurement plans
  • Procurement Execution & Commercial Discipline
    • Maintain strong commercial performance in project buying, particularly for RoM and adhoc requirements
    • Ensure consistent application of negotiation and buying practices across the team
    • Monitor and act on key execution metrics (delivery, cost for RoM/adhoc, responsiveness)
  • Systems Ownership & Transformation
    • Own ERP/MRP systems for supply chain execution
    • Rapidly assess current systems and processes, identifying risks and limitations
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies for legacy system constraints
    • Acting as the Supply Chain SME, partner with IT to define a future-state vision and roadmap to a cohesive, integrated platform
    • Lead the transition plan from current to future systems, ensuring continuity of operations
    • Drive standardisation, automation, and simplification of supply chain processes
  • Supply Chain Process & Data Integrity
    • Own end-to-end supply chain process governance, including:
      • PO creation and execution workflows
      • Supplier onboarding and approval processes
      • Planning and MRP inputs
    • Own data integrity across the entire supply chain flow, including:
      • BoM readiness and accuracy (Engineering → ERP)
      • Supplier master data
      • Planning data inputs and parameters
    • Establish standards, controls, and training to ensure consistent data quality
    • Own supply chain data governance and standards, ensuring a single source of truth across planning, procurement, and execution
  • Outsourcing & Supplier Interface
    • Manage operational interfaces with outsourced manufacturing partners
    • Work closely with the Global FRP Mould Manager and other supplier leads to ensure:
      • Alignment between planning, production, and supply
      • Clear execution accountability
      • Timely resolution of supply and capacity constraints
    • Ensure execution aligns with supplier strategies, contracts, and policies defined by Strategic Procurement
    • Support strategic procurement in providing data and input needed for supplier management and development.  Contribute to commodity teams as needed
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead, develop, and performance-manage; Project Buyers, Master Planner and FRP Planner
    • Build a high-performing, execution-focused team with strong discipline and accountability
    • Drive LEAN practices, especially; Leader Standard work, problem solving, and daily management in own team
    • Support the department Hoshin and goals, by developing and executing improvement initiatives
    • Ensure own team have linked cascading goals and are coached to achieve agreed results

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, with strong experience in supply chain execution within a project-based environment
  • Proven capability in ERP/MRP systems and process transformation
  • Experience dealing with legacy systems and acting as a SME to lead system transitions
  • Solid understanding of outsourced manufacturing environments
  • Strong operational leadership with a hands-on, structured approach
  • Commercially aware with practical negotiation capability

  • Ability to supporting team development, succession planning, and skills enhancement (including backup coverage)
