The Safety Sanitation Specialist is responsible for the successful upkeep of our current Food Safety Sanitation requirements, warehouse housekeeping & current 5s management upkeep throughout the LDC facility. They are responsible for understanding & maintaining all facets of Food Safety cleanliness requirements. This role must be motivated to maintain all housekeeping and food safety requirements.
The Safety Sanitation Specialist coordinates with Warehouse Management to reduce the potential for any FDA violations surrounding facility sanitation requirements. By completing basic housekeeping this position also assists in reducing costly incidents.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Coordinate sanitation activities with Safety & Compliance Manager, Maintenance & Warehouse Supervisors.
- →Adhere to developed cleaning methods and procedures which are designed to eliminate operating problems, and improve food safety sanitation efficiency
- →Handles cleaning supplies and chemicals daily
- →Assists in safety administrative duties including, inventorying supplies, flushing eye wash stations, inspecting fire extinguishers
Requirements
~1 min read- Knowledge of food safety, food safety controls, food defense, sanitary design, basic cleaning functions, internal auditing and GMP’s.
- Ability to operate pallet jack & aerial work platforms.
- Knowledge of governing food regulations including HACCP and FSMA
- Skilled using a PC and familiar with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to work well with other employees to foster a respectful and professional work environment
- Skilled in being timely and punctual
- Skilled in being accurate and detailed
- Knowledge of chemicals and solvents
- High School diploma
- Must be 18yrs old
- Must have a valid Drivers License
