Locum Consultant Anesthesiologist

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Locum Consultant Anaesthesiologist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality anaesthetic services across perioperative, critical care, and emergency settings while supporting patient safety, clinical excellence, and collaborative care.

  Deliver consultant-level anaesthetic care for elective and emergency surgical procedures.

• →

  Participate in perioperative assessment and management of patients.

• →

  Provide support for critical care, trauma, obstetric, and acute pain services as required.

• →

  Supervise and support junior medical staff and trainees.

• →

  Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives.

• →

  Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HSE policies and procedures.

• →

  Participate in on-call rotas where applicable.

• Specialist registration in Anaesthesiology with the Irish Medical Council or eligibility for specialist registration.

• Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland, Royal College of Anaesthetists, or equivalent recognised qualification.

• Proven experience working at Consultant level in Anaesthesiology.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

• Eligibility to work in Ireland.

• Experience in intensive care medicine, obstetric anaesthesia, or pain management.

• Previous experience within the Irish healthcare system or comparable public health service.

• Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence.
